Community Development Department

This department is comprised of three divisions -  Planning, Building and Engineering

• The City Planner is responsible for checking that projects comply with Zoning Ordinances, and processing discretionary development applications through the Planning Commission and the City Council.
• The Building Official is responsible for administration of the Building Permit process.
• The City Engineer is responsible for ensuring that subdivisions conform to the requirements of the Subdivision Map Act and local ordinances.

Staff is located at City Hall and is available for walk-ins from 8 to 10 a.m., and 3:30 to 5 p.m., or by appointment, Monday through Friday.
