ONGOING ACTIVITIES FOR YOUTHS
Public Skating at the Firemen's Pavilion
Public skate hours are Friday and Saturday, 6:30 - 9:30pm. Skates are included. Cost at the door: Ages 6
and older - $4.50, ages 5 and under - $3. Receive a $.50 discount when you bring your own skates. Personal skates must be checked by skate staff.
Purchase paid in advance skate tickets at Park Office Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Ages 6
and older: $18 for 5 tickets. Ages 5 and under: $12 for 5 tickets.
Private Parties at the Firemen's Pavilion
Private parties include skating, basketball, dancing, sock hockey
and many more activities. Music is provided or bring your own CD’s.
Rates: $70 for the first 30 skaters and $2/person for additional skaters.
Parties are up to 2 hours in length with skating staff provided. Parties
must be booked at least 7 days in advance. Stop by or call the Parks Office
for available dates
Party Room Reservation During Public Skate
No available dates? Book a semi-private party during public.
Reserve a table for $20 in the party room area. Must be reserved no later
than Wednesday for the weekend desired. Receive 4 free skate tickets.

There's a place for a cake, and best of all, you won't have to clean the

Excel After-School Program
Program runs throughout the school year, while school is in session. All youths in grades 1 - 8 who attend Fortuna area schools may be enrolled. Hours: school dismissal to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, except Wednesdays which are 1:45 - 6:30 PM. Operates in partnership with Healthy Start. Held at South Fortuna, Fortuna Middle School, Ambrosini, Toddy Thomas and Cuddeback. Features indoor activities including games, arts & crafts,
homework and physical fitness.
Youth Basketball
Registration begins in December for boys & girls in the 1st - 4th grades. Teams play Saturday morning for 6 weeks at the Firemen's Pavilion in Rohner Park and at Fortuna Middle School starting in February. T-shirt provided to each child who enrolls.

Holiday Break
Children ages 6 – 13 are invited to attend the City of Fortuna’s Recreation programs during school holidays. We will be providing many activities such as arts
& crafts, cooking, games, hikes and even roller skating! Our hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm. Fees are $20/day or $13/half day. Discounts for sibling and multiple days are available.
Your children will need their own lunch, snacks, drinks and a jacket and sturdy shoes would be a good idea. Sign up your child up at the Park Office in Rohner Park.
Summer Fun Day Camp
Program runs June through August, Monday through Friday. Supervised youth activities including skating, cooking projects, biking, water fun, crafts, movies and more. All day or half-day’s are offered. Multiple-session and sibling discounts. Sign-ups begin in mid-May at Parks & Recreation in Rohner Park and are ongoing throughout the summer months. Partial grant funding is available. Submit income verification to the Park Office. Call for more information at 725-7620.

Children 4 years and older are picked up by bus from Rohner Park and transported to the College of the Redwoods for swimming lessons. Several consecutive 2-week sessions offered, enabling children to enroll in more than one and progress to higher skill levels. Sign-ups begin in mid-May and are ongoing throughout the summer months. Basketball Camp
Co-sponsored with Fortuna Union High School. One-week session will be held July 9th - 13th. Fee includes T-shirt, basketball & 2 free passes to a FUHS Girls or Boys Basketball game. Divisions divided by age groups. Discount for early registration. Call for fee and deadlines.
